the Orientation of a
Capsule’s Cap and Body
The Model C is our new user friendly
capsule printer with unique capability of
printing one message on the cap and
another message on the body of a
capsule. Designed for ease of
operation and accuracy the Model C
offers flexibility and a new dimension to
capsule printing.
The Capsules are led through a feed
drum containing two directional pockets
which, along with the guides, gauging
blocks, air jets and vacuum slots,
cause the capsule to be oriented with
the cap end always to the right.
Conveyor carriers bars feed the
capsules through an offset rotogravure
printing unit where one message is
always printed on the cap and another
always printed on the body. The
printing is wrapped around the
circumference of the capsule providing
maximum printing area. A pickoff wheel
arrangement has been installed to
remove damaged or non-oriented
capsules, ensuring correctly printed
capsules.

The
Model C prints 10 rows simultaneously and has an
output capacity of 275,000 units per hour. There are no
moving parts in the rectifying system, operation is
dependable and trouble free.
Our standard Siemen's control package and servo driven print stations make this machine very "user-friendly". All printing adjustments are made from the HMI.
The Model C can be equipped with a Duotone Printing
Unit which enables printing in two colors, one on the
cap
and a second on the body. This model can also be
converted to run different sized capsules by replacing
the feed drum assembly, the design roll and the
conveyor bar inserts.
